The repeat DUI offender whose last drunken ride claimed the life of a 24-year-old motorcyclist had little to say before being taken by deputy sheriffs from Chester County Court after his sentencing.
But the family of his victim, the prosecutor in the case, and the judge who accepted a plea agreement that called for 8-to-17 years in a state prison for Robert Elwood Landis had plenty of words to express the depth of tragedy the case represented.
