A 65-year-old Free Soil man was allegedly intoxicated when he careened his vehicle into a Sheridan Township lake early Sunday, Oct. 26, authorities said.

Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole said the driver was heading north on Benson Road when he failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection near Sugar Grove Road. As a result, the man drove into Round Lake.
