DWI arrest for woman who sued Kent cops over son’s death

A Lake Carmel woman who filed a $200 million suit against Kent police, blaming them for her son’s suspected overdose death, was charged with drunken driving over the weekend, state police said.

It was the second DWI arrest in less than a year for Barbara B. Kastle, 54.

Kent police charged her with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated in July 2013 after she was in a late-night crash. She pleaded guilty in October to driving while ability impaired by alcohol, a violation.
