One police officer was hospitalized and several others assaulted during a bloody confrontation with a belligerent drunk early Saturday morning, according to city police.

Michael Kruk, 38, of Lindenhurst, N.Y., is in Bergen County Jail on $110,000 bail on numerous charges, including assault on a police officer, resisting arrest, obstruction, making terroristic threats and DUI.
