DUI charge reportedly follows difficult extrication

A late-morning crash which occurred Friday on the East Tri-County Boulevard resulted in two women being taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville … and one of them reportedly being charged with a DUI offense.

Police chief Kenneth Morgan stated that 57-year-old Evelyn Lawson of Oliver Springs was stopped on Windrock Road waiting to turn west onto the boulevard when a Corvette reportedly driven by 49-year-old Glenda Keys of Harriman missed the turn and struck Lawson’s vehicle.
