A Longview woman on parole for intoxication manslaughter in the death of her 2-year-old daughter was sentenced to 10 years in prison Monday afternoon for drunken driving.
Judge Alfonso Charles handed down the sentence.
“You need to be locked up for a long time to protect society, to protect you, to protect your children,” Charles told 32-year-old Marisol Priego, who was found guilty of her third DWI on Nov. 22. She had elected to have the court decide her punishment after a jury took 30 minutes to reach a verdict.
