Pleads guilty in drunk-driving accident

On the day of his trial, a local man pleaded guilty Monday to five felony counts in connection with a drunk-driving accident nearly five years ago that injured two children and an adult.

Jesse W. Reed Jr., 35, of French Village, pleaded guilty to three Class C felony counts of second-degree assault-vehicular; and the Class D felonies of leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident and driving with a revoked or suspended license. He will be sentenced by Circuit Court Judge Kenneth W. Pratte at a later date.
