Piedmont Mayor facing possible DWI charges

PIEDMONT, MO (KFVS) – Piedmont Mayor William “Bill” Kirkpatrick is facing possible charges of driving while intoxicated, according to the Piedmont Police Department.

 

Chief of Police Richard Sanders said officers issued a DWI citation to Kirkpatrick following a crash on the corner of Main and Dryden Streets at about 3:30 p.m.

Sunday in which Kirkpatrick hit the side of an apartment building with his vehicle.

Witnesses inside an apartment complex at that location say they heard a loud collision sound around the same time Sunday afternoon.
