A 28-year-old Pennsylvania man was charged early today with drunk driving and a variety of other violations, after his black BMW emerged on the New Jersey side of the Holland Tunnel driving in a lane closed to traffic, the Port Authority Police Department said.
It was just after 6 a.m., when the car was seen driving in the westbound lane of the North Tube, which had been closed, police said. When the car emerged from the tunnel, Port Authority police officers in marked cruisers fell in behind with their flashers on, police said.
