No more multiple ‘first’ offenses after DUI loophole closes

The state Legislature recently closed a DUI loophole exposed by the case of a York County man who was arrested twice in less than 90 minutes.

“At 11:30 p.m., his wife got him out of the drunk tank,” Rep. Seth Grove, R-Dover Township, said of the 2006 arrest of Patrick A. Haag Sr. “And by 1:30 a.m., he had his second DUI.”
