Near collision with squad car leads to drunk driving stop, drug charges

A 30-year-old man nearly struck an Allentown police cruiser early Saturday, leading to traffic stop for drunken driving and the discovery of cocaine and drug paraphernalia, according to court records.

Harry Martinez was pulling into a parking lot at 12:05 a.m. Saturday at his apartment complex in the 2000 block of Vine Street but made a wide turn and almost hit the patrol vehicle, according to court records.
