La Grange man barely misses hitting pedestrians on sidewalk with car, charged with DUI

A 21-year-old La Grange man was charged with driving under the influence of drugs at 7:16 p.m. Sept. 1 after he allegedly nearly struck four pedestrians walking along the 300 block of East Shawmut Avenue.

Rico J. Wilson of 130 East Ave. also was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of stolen property, after five cell phones and a plastic bag of pills, later identified as Xanax, were found in his vehicle, police said. An empty bottle of Delsym cough syrup also was found.
