Gonzales police arrest teacher in DWI, hit and run Monday

An Ascension Christian High School teacher sent home by school officials Monday morning was arrested a short time later in a hit-and-run and accused of DWI after she tested over three times the legal blood-alcohol limit for drivers, Gonzales police said.

Jamie Ingrassia, 36, 37435 Cypress Alley Ave., Gonzales, was booked into Ascension Parish Jail near Donaldsonville on counts of felony hit-and-run, careless operation of a vehicle and second-offense DWI, according to Sgt. Steven Nethken of the Gonzales Police Department.
