Escaping domestic violence doesn’t erase DWI, MN Supreme Court rules

If Minnesotans believe victims of domestic violence should be immune from DWI convictions when fleeing a potentially deadly situation, the Legislature should change the law.

 

That’s the opinion of the Minnesota Supreme Court, in a 4-3 decision that upheld the DWI conviction of Jennifer Axelberg.
