East Syracuse man, 62, charged with DWI, leaving scene of motorcycle crash in Salina

A 62-year-old East Syracuse man is accused of driving drunk, crashing a motorcycle and leaving the scene of the accident Sunday night in Salina, Onondaga County sheriff’s deputies said.

Lawrence Swidowski was driving a motorcycle south on Route 11 (Brewerton Road) near Earl Avenue in Salina about 8:30 p.m. Sunday when he struck a curb, Deputy Herb Wiggins said. The motorcycle fell to the ground, and Swidowski and his passenger left the scene, Wiggins said. The crash happened across from the Pizza Hut restaurant on Brewerton Road.
