DWI crash that killed colleague

A Camp Lejeune Marine is facing multiple traffic charges after a drunk driving wreck left him injured and a fellow Marine dead.

 

According to Sgt. David Oglesby of Highway Patrol, the wreck occurred on Saturday, Feb. 1 at approximately 12:46 a.m., Octavious Lamar Thompson, 21, was driving on the intersection of Blue Creek School Road and Canady Road in a 2013 Dodge Challenger with a passenger, David Eugene Moore Jr., also 21, when he failed to stop at a stop sign and ran into a concrete wall.
