A woman who allegedly caused a crash that claimed the life of a local preacher and his wife will go to trial. The pre-trial hearing held Wednesday for Terri Elmore is the first high profile drunk driving case to be heard since Travis County D.A. Rosemary Lehmberg survived a petition to remove her from office.
Terri Elmore is facing two counts of intoxication manslaughter. But there was concern that a plea deal would be cut in her favor. Instead, when the case was called up it was revealed that prosecutors did not enter a plea deal Motion. They asked for the up-coming trail to be delayed, pushing it back to late next month. They told the judge they are waiting for the results of a blood alcohol test that they plan to put into evidence.
