Continued opposition from an Ohio judicial association has killed a bill aimed to require first-time drunken drivers to blow into an alcohol-detecting device before operating a vehicle.
Rep. Gary Scherer, R-Circleville, learned late last week that, despite “major concessions,” the Ohio Judicial Conference was still opposed to the bill, which was promoted as Annie’s Law in memory of a Chillicothe attorney killed in a 2013 drunken driving crash.
